Robert is the creator of RealTime Speaking, a daring and dynamic style of public speaking and communicating that calls for integrity, vulnerability, and authentic connection. He is also the author of six books and more than 200 articles, a contributor to four groundbreaking anthologies.
Before moving to Australia in 2005, Robert spent 20 years at the forefront of U.S. cultural transformation as a pioneer in the field of executive coaching, founding the Hamsa Institute for Enlightened Leadership in 1990, while also developing a reputation as a skilled and inspirational keynote speaker, leadership adviser, group facilitator, and self-awareness teacher. His motto for more than 20 years has been: Have Mouth, Will Travel.
"I suppose I've taken the path less traveled, in that I lived in an Indian ashram for 11 years, studying meditation and Eastern philosophy. That’s where I learned most everything I know, and the rest comes to me as I practice a simple formula I developed: be present, pay attention, listen deeply, act creatively. I am continually stunned and amazed by the transformative power of these four principles. Sometimes, the more we know, the less able we are to see the obvious; the more experience we have, the less able we are to innovate. I fiercely believe that human beings are innately capable of being creative, powerful, brilliant, daring, wildly expressive … and so much more. We’ve just got to let it out.”
